Overexpressed Bax inhibitor-1 (BI-1) provides protection against apoptosis induced by some types of stimuli especially ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in brain.
Through this study, we explain the function of BI-1 as a counter partner of CPR and the downstream proteins-CYP and HO-1, especially in myocardia ischemia-reperfusion injury.
